Each SOACP certification requires the completion of a specific set of exams. In order to pass the required exams, you are encouraged to take the corresponding course modules listed on the Courses page. However, completing courses is not a requirement for certification.

Each exam has a unique code that contains the number of the course module the exam corresponds to plus an optional alphabetic version identifier. For example, Exam S90.01A is the code for the exam that corresponds to
Module 1: Fundamental SOA & Service-Oriented Computing. The "A" is the version identifier. Exam codes may be displayed with or without the version identifier. For example, you will see this exam referred to as S90.01 or S90.01A.

SOA Certified Professional exams are being made available via Prometric testing centers world-wide. Before taking an exam, be sure to read through the SOACP Agreement.

• Candidates are allowed to re-take an exam up to 3 times within a 12 month period. This means a candidate can take a single exam a maximum of 4 times within 12 months.
• Candidates must wait 30 days between the time they re-take an exam.
• Candidates that have already passed an exam are not allowed to re-take the same exam within a 6 month period.
• Exams taken that do not comply with this policy are not considered valid and therefore are not registered as part of the candidate's student record and do not count toward the candidate's certification status.
• Exams taken that do not comply with this policy are not eligible for refund.
