SOA, Service Composition & Business Process Management
As service-oriented solution environments grow in size and complexity, so do the underlying service compositions. Approaches are required to properly coordinate activities that span services and a means of structuring the maintenance and runtime execution of business process logic is needed to best support the organized composition of services for larger inventories or portfolios.
This seminar covers complex service composition scenarios and requirements and discusses some of the key context and state management mechanisms emerging in support of Web services-based SOA. The roles of orchestration concepts and technology within SOA are also discussed and further explored through an introduction to the Web Services Business Process Execution Language (WS-BPEL). Attendees are subsequently guided through the creation of a process definition that orchestrates previously defined services to automate sample business process logic. Duration: 1 day (including breaks and Q&A)
