SOA Project Planning

The success of SOA within an enterprise is generally dependent on the extent to which it is standardized when it is phased into business and application domains. However, the success of a project delivering a service-oriented solution is generally measured by the extent to which the solution fulfills expected requirements within a given budget and timeline.

To address this challenge, special considerations must be incorporated into the planning of SOA projects and the chosen delivery strategy, so that an organization’s priorities are properly balanced with long-term migration goals and the fulfillment of short-term business automation requirements.

This seminar begins with an explanation of individual SOA project lifecycle stages, and continues with a discussion of three common delivery strategies for building service-oriented solutions (during which the pros and cons of each approach are explored and contrasted). During the course of the seminar a sample project plan is assembled.

Duration: 1 day (including breaks and Q&A)
